I’ve been a fan of Tony Curran (Underworld: Evolution, Gladiator) since his role in the brilliant Doctor Who episode Vincent and the Doctor way back in 2010, and I’ve been following his work since. I really enjoy him as Datak, the rather unhinged head of the Tarr family in Defiance, so I am very keen to see him up his game as a lunatic. Enter the upcoming movie Awaiting, a Mark Murphy (The Crypt) production that dials the crazy up past insane. Shot over just four weeks in England the movie has an intriguing premise that reminds me of Misery only with a much prettier looking lass. Here is the official description:
“Morris is a recluse with psychotic tendencies, whose life changes when his innocent daughter Lauren rescues one of his victims and befriends him. Jake, an ordinary businessman, soon realises that he is stranded and his presence in the house gradually reveals unexpected and dark mysteries from the past.”
Have a watch of the trailer and tell me how mental he looks.
Awaiting is set to release in 2015 and also stars Rupert Hill, Sophie Lovell Anderson, Peter Woodward, and Charley McDougall.
