Over the last few years, Hollywood has often been accused of scraping the bottom of the creative barrel (Most recently by Darryn). I don’t agree though. I say they’ve long scraped clean through that barrel’s bottom, hit the worm infested ground beneath and just kept on going. They’re halfway to China already, by my reckoning.

And while that may seem a bit sensationalist, it’s hard to believe otherwise, when you read stories saying that Warner Bros are now looking to do a feature film adaptation of the Guinness Book of World Records.

As to exactly what a movie based on just an annual collection of “records” – and some of them really do stretch that definition to it’s breaking point – would be about, well that would be the problem of appointed screenwriter Danny Chun of The Office (US version) fame. I can’t do it. Anything I think up, no matter how imaginative, sounds every bit as ridiculous as I thought it would.
