Just a couple of weeks ago I was having a chat with my friend about what a great show The Big Bang Theory is and I was wondering what would lay ahead for the stars of the hit show. I would think it will be tough for them to break free of the characters their fans have seen them as for so many years.
Then I came across the trailer for a new comedy starring The Big Bang Theory’s Bernadette, Mellissa Rauch, called The Bronze – and it looks like it might just be funny.
The plot: Ten years after winning a bronze Olympic medal, washed-up gymnast Hope Ann Greggory (Melissa Rauch) lives in her small town with her adoring father (Gary Cole) getting by on her minor celebrity status. When her former coach dies, Greggory is forced to take her place training a young Olympic hopeful in order to receive a large inheritance that’s being held in trust.
Check out this new trailer for The Bronze now:
I must say that this role could work for Rauch and possibly pave the way for a career outside her role outside The Big Bang Theory. Oh, did I mention that the movie has is aiming for an R-rating, including strong sexual content, graphic nudity and language. Those first two are important to note as The Bronze reportedly includes an outrageously over the top sex scene that had everybody talking and gawking when the film debuted on the film festival scene last year. This is apparently something that has to be seen to be believed.
Starring alongside Rauch is ,Gary Cole, Thomas Middleditch, Sebastian Stan, Cecily Strong and Haley Lu Richardson. The Bronze releases on March 18, 2016.
