RAW April 08

WWE Monday Night RAW took place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Here’s all the action that went down the night after Wrestlemania.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston confronted Universal Champion Seth Rollins

The champ, is here. Or should I say champs? After Wrestelmania 35 ended, the WWE had two new primary champions, in the form of Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins. Both men had climbed over massive obstacles to grab the gold, but Kingston wasn’t happy with just having the WWE Championship. His solution? A winner takes all match against Seth Rollins, for later in the night. A bout that the Kingslayer was only too happy to accept.

Raw Tag Team Champions Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins def. The Revival

Lars Sullivan attacked Kurt Angle

Does NXT’s giant Lars Sullivan believe in happy endings? According to the manner in which he brutalised Kurt Angle during his WWE farewell, Sullivan only believes in making a statement.

Alexa Bliss def. Bayley

Lacey Evans attacked Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch

The undisputed woman’s champion of the WWE, Becky Lynch may have just found her first challenger: Lacey Evans, whose signature strut started a brawl that could only end in one way: Her arm, caught in Lynch’s signature submission move.

Aleister Black and Ricochet def. Bobby Roode and Chad Gable

Bobby Lashley attacked Dean Ambrose in Ambrose’s final WWE match

While the night after Wrestlemania may be a time for new beginnings, it’s also a time for stories to end. Such was the case with Dean Ambrose, whose storied career in the WWE has wrapped up, as the lunatic fringe decided to go out in a laze of glory and tackle Bobby Lashley after he made some disparaging remarks regarding Renee Young.

Thanks to Lio Rush, Lashley managed to get out of dodge and drive Ambrose through the commentary table, leaving a grand slam champion broken.

Intercontinental Champion Finn Bálor def. Sami Zayn

The Undertaker confronted Elias

You’ve got to give it to Elias. After his Wrestlemania 35 performance was interrupted by John Cena in his doctor of thuganomics guise, Elias decided to make a statement: The next man to interrupt him, would be a dead man. GONG! A big boot, a chokeslam and a tombstone piledriver quickly annihilated Elias, ending his night on RAW.

Universal Champion Seth Rollins & WWE Champion Kofi Kingston def. The Bar after they crashed the Winner Take All main event

Well, who didn’t see this coming? Rollins and Kingston looked set to put on a hell of a show as they tangled, but the appearance of The Bar saw the duo put aside their differences and focus on sending Cesaro and Sheamus packing.
