The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf – Trailer

The Witcher was initially released for the PC and was met with positive results (81/100 on Metacritic).

The devolopers, CD Projekt Red recently announced that a console version subtitled Rise of the White Wolf, for the Xbox 360 and PS3 is in the works and promises to have new engine, streamlined combat, character models, animations as well as a more dynamic combat system.

A trailer has just been released and while it doesn’t show any footage of the actual gameplay it does a good job of setting the tone for what console gamers can expect. The game is set to be released on consoles somewhere around our spring in 2009 so if you are looking for an engaging action RPG that offers between 40 – 50 hours of gameplay at that time, this may very well be worth your money.
