Uncharted 4 The Lost Legacy

I only just recently finished Uncharted 4, and I must say, I agree with Geoff – it was excellent. Be that as it may, I must admit that while the adventure title made me incredibly happy, it made me unbelievably sad too. You know that feeling of gloom you get when you finish a particularly good book or series, and you know there’s no more coming? Yeah, I had that when I finished Uncharted 4. Naughty Dog wrapped up things quite nicely, and as far as we all know, Nathan Drake’s tale is done.

That doesn’t mean Naughty Dog is done exploring that particular universe however. At PSX this weekend, they unveiled another chapter in the franchise, one that doesn’t follow our usual cheeky protagonist, but rather, two other familiar faces. Here’s the reveal trailer, in case you missed it:

What are Chloe and Nadine hunting down? Did Nathan and the gang not pursue every last bit of treasure across the globe in the first four games?

Of course not! There are still many undiscovered secrets out there, and our new female leads are after one of them (via DualShockers):

For the first time in franchise history, fan-favorite character Chloe Frazer returns to star in her own adventure. Set roughly one year after the events of UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End, Chloe sets off to recover a fabled and valuable ancient Indian artifact. In order to track down the artifact – and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer – she must enlist the help of former paramilitary leader turned gun-for-hire, Nadine Ross.

Together, Chloe and Nadine venture deep into the mountains of India’s Western Ghats, exploring ruins of ancient temples in search of the legendary Tusk of Ganesh. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together and leverage their unique talents to unearth the mystery of the Tusk.

Say what you will, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with more Uncharted. It’s a new adventure featuring two fantastic characters, which has me very, very excited!

I’m eager to see how this DLC is received by the general public. If everything goes well, I really hope we get a bit more content in future, focusing on – ok you might want to look away if you’ve not yet finished Uncharted 4…

I am of course  talking about Sam and Sully. “How’s your Portuguese?” the latter asks at the end of the last game. Wait, does that mean… oh my goodness! Are we going to get Uncharted: The Madeira Mystery in future? I sure hope so!

  1. One game I’m pissed off that Xboners can’t play. The others I played on my PS3 were awesome.

Portuguese could also mean they’re heading to South America.

Or wherever Porras congregate. They might even rock up at Lusito Land next year. 😛
