A quick tour of rAge 2015

3 min read

This weekend marks the start of the biggest gaming expo in Africa (we should probably confirm that at some point, but we’re just going to assume it is because we’re amazing). Despite being open from today already, we know many of you will only make your way to this year’s rAge Expo either tomorrow or Sunday. Before you climb into your car and make the drive to the deadly oven known as The Dome, here’s an idea of what’s on offer, and what you can expect to see.

As always, there are a ton of games to play. When I did my first tour of the expo, I was disappointed to see that there wasn’t much in terms of unreleased titles. On closer inspection though (see: wondering around aimlessly for many hours), I’ve now realized that there are actually a good few awesome games on offer. Here’s what I’ve seen so far:

  • Cuphead
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • The Division
  • Assassins Creed Syndicate
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Just Cause 3
  • Guitar Hero Live
  • Star Wars Battlefront

Obviously, there are many other games to enjoy – those that are available at retail already. If you’re still undecided as to whether you should buy a title or not, rAge is probably the best place to make the decision. I’ve seen the likes of Mad Max, The Uncharted Collection, NBA2K16, Disney Infinity, Skylanders Superchargers, Metal Gear Solid V, and a whole lot more.

If you’re more interested in the hardware side of things, there are a ton of specials to enjoy. Graphics cards, motherboards, and all of that shiny tech stuff are certainly here. You may just have to do a bit of wondering around to find the best deal if you are looking to buy something.

Speaking of wondering around, be wary of other Lazygamer readers. I found a bunch of them…

Somehow, I managed to escape without so much as a cabbage retort, or a shearing of my mop of hair. Awww, you all do love me!

Anyways, before I dash off to see MORE stuff, here’s a bunch of snaps I managed to grab between all of the crowd jostling

If you’re here today or tomorrow and you see any of us, please say hi. We most certainly don’t bite (Darryn might though), and we would love to say hello to all of your faces. Otherwise, don’t forget we are having a community meet tomorrow evening. Enjoy the expo, and we will see you there!
