Battlefield: Bad Company became famous for all the wrong reasons. When it was revealed that we would be required to pay for weapons which are in the game already the Internet went nuts and finally EA backed down.
However it seems that instead of backing down they have done a complete U-Turn and are backtracking quickly… Now not only do we not have to pay for the guns but if we unlock certain achievements we will be treated to downloadable Gamer Pics and Themes.
While I have never been big on the Gamer Pics idea I do find this to be a very nice touch and something that I hope other developers will be following.
Battlefield: Bad Company is being released on the 23rd of June (no local confirmation) and has been tipped to steal the online crown from COD4.

Another 10001 kill achv… gosh. Copying GoW and The Club now are we? SP achvs look interesting but its still not a definite so a few may change.

I still believe everybody who thinks this game will be a COD4 multiplayer killer is dead wrong. Dead, dead, dead wrong.

pdb, I take it you never really played BF2 on PC? Realise the everything CoD4 does well, it did by ripping off BF2, and while BF:BC may not have Xmas sales exaggerated by weak competition to prop up it numbers, you just need to have a look at http://www.gamespy.com/.
After 2 years on the market, BF2 is still one of the most played games on the internet. By this time next year CoD4 will be a vague memory.

You gotta be kidding me dude you couldn’t even drive any vehicles in COD4 and also there is only a hand full of weapons in CoD4 Battlefield bad company has 28 weapons and 90 % destructible environment BF:BC is gong to dominate the Multiplayer field. 😡
