Army of Two

Army of Two was possibly my first highly anticipated game since I started with this site.

It is a game that has brought me a lot of flak and was the first title in a long line of Lazygamer expectations that were critically slammed.

Even if the majority of critics didn’t like this game I still did and I am glad to see there are a lot more people out there who enjoyed it as well.

According to OXM they have seen the latest NPD stats for the year and sitting in a comfortable fifth place for 360 sales is my much loved Army of Two.

The top five are as follows

  1. GTA IV
  2. Call of Duty 4
  3. Madden 08
  4. Rainbow Six Vegas 2
  5. Army of Two

So Army of Two was the single top selling new IP this year on the Xbox 360, I see that as a good thing as I liked the game but I have a feeling this is going to be pounced on to prove that there are no good new IP’s being released.

In all honesty I don’t expect Army of Two to keep that slot until Christmas, we have Far Cry 2, Gears 2, Fallout 23 and Mirror’s Edge just around the corner. Not to mention FIFA 2009 (oh wait.. these are US stats only)

So can you think of any titles that should be in the top 5 come January?

If it makes you feel better I could say I preferred the 360 version 😛
