In what Ubisoft themselves are dubbing “The biggest launch in Ubisoft history” it has been announced in an investors call that Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released on the 30th of October 2012.

No details around whether that is a worldwide launch date or whether the launch will be staggered has been announced but the fact that it’s the biggest launch in Ubisoft history definitely gets me excited about a day one release worldwide.

And now it’s not meant to be Assassin’s Creed 5 as Brotherhood and Revelations were different tangents in the series and this one will be the official third assassin doing what he or she does best in a yet undisclosed location.

Some of the previous rumours have this years Assassin in China which would be an incredible experience so hopefully that is true. Another option is the American revolution which would be another exciting experience so either of those work well for me.

Unfortunately I think our inhouse hope of it being set in the Boer War isn’t going to come true but hopefully someone picks up on that un-glorified war and makes a game out of it soon enough.
