IGN has put together a video montage of some of their top E3 showings at E3 and then backed it up with a huge 7 page write up on each award and more.
Some noticeable mentions are
Best Downloadable Game: Fat Princess (PS3)
Best Action Game: Mirrors Edge (multi)
Best Race: Motorstorm Pacific Rim (PS3)
Best Shooter & Best Graphics: Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360)
and game of the show, according to IGN, Fallout 3 on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360
To me the biggest eye opener was that Gears2 beat out Killzone 2 for the graphics title. Now the question is whether Gears is that good or the Killzone 2 hype was unfounded.

I’m sure you mean fall out 3 on x360, pc and ps3.
Also i can’t believe little big planet didn’t win anything! Seems a bit weird if you consider other e3 lists. Oh well

Fallout 3 is looking pretty impressive.

Unfortunately amongst all the usual “looks cute” “youtube of games” comments thrown at LBP, there were quite a fe wnegative comments as well along the lines of “but it’s just not fun.”

I was so hyped for fallout 3! Bethesda cant fark this up!
Wait, is that some oblivion with lazors!?
I was honestly disappointed when I saw the dev walkthrough and stage demos. Looks to play more like bioshock, which is great in its own way, but sucks for fallout.
No I haven’t had first hand experience, nor do I qualify to make any assumption of the game. But from a fallout fan, I cry :/
In other news, also surprised at LBP not being mentioned, but that’s based on my hope for the success of that title.

GeOW2 does look pretty though, but KZ2 does LOOK better, just wish we could see some different environments. Wonder if the factored in gameplay when they made that choice. Perhaps their trying to pull in the hits/ fame by pulling the Yahtzee theory (Going against public opinion).

Well go over to gametrailers top of E3 there view is different i must say personally i think killzone`s gfx is better then gears.

From what I have seen, no.
But I haven’t seen either first hand so I am just taking it from screenshots and leaked video.
So far Killzone has easily had the best graphics which is why I mentioned that Gears beat it in this section. It’s suprising and while I hope it means Gears is great I do worry that it means Killzone is bad

I haven’t been able to find a single best of E3 at GameTrailers,they have broken it into a pile of video’s which makes it hard to embed them all… Maybe that is their plan?
But yes they had a different opinion and I am posting about their opinion this (tomorrow) morning as well
