Black Ops passes the $1 Billion mark–beats Modern Warfare 2

Earlier we mentioned about how Infinity Ward was not a fan of Treyarch at all and attempted t ambush them when possible, so you can imagine how happy Treyarch is that it has now reached a $1 Billion worth of sales faster than Modern Warfare 2.

What’s even more amazing is that Black Ops is only the third entertainment release to have ever broken that mark with the other being Modern Warfare 2 and the leader being James Cameron’s Avatar.

It’s a testament to how much we enjoy blowing sh*t up that 2 out of the 3 are FPS war based games and the third is far more manly Pocahontas.

Just because a bunch of suckers bought it, does not mean it is a good game. I rented it and thought it was a piece of shit. I never fired a round throughout the entire first level and completed it.

I’m not a massive fan of it’s single player but the multiplayer is where Black Ops comes to life and exceeds MW2
