Borderlands 2 is all but confirmed

One of my greatest disappointments is that I have never played Borderlands. Yes it’s shocking but due to study commitments, work and emigrating it just never came together as a title I could get my hands on.

I wanted to try it out recently but I have been told that the best part of the game is the co-op and no one really plays that anymore.

So the news that there is a Borderlands 2 coming is exciting and a bit sad at the same time, I’m hoping you don’t need to have any Borderlands experience to enjoy the sequel as I really want to enjoy some of the 4 player co-op I heard all about with the first one.

But let’s not get over excited just yet, Gearbox software haven’t yet confirmed they are making the game and have just said they are looking at ideas and blue sky thinking. The publisher though has already previously stated that a sequel is a no brainer and now some secret insiders have confirmed to Eurogamer that Gearbox are indeed hard at work on Borderlands 2.

The anonymous insider has also revealed that it will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next year and that the publisher, 2K Games, will be making an announcement really soon. Gamescom anyone?
