Bungie Learns From Halo 3, Optimizes Halo Reach Install

Remember when the ability to install 360 games was a new thing? It was touted to increase performance for your games, and reduce the stress on your DVD drive. Halo 3 decided to buck the trend and actually perform worse when installed, which made the entire schlep of installing it utterly pointless.

It appears Bungie kept this little faux pas in mind with Reach, as it performs better installed, which JustPressStart has confirmed.

According to them, video stuttering is reduced considerably, and that seems like a good enough reason to install Bungie’s magnum opus.

It is released locally tomorrow (September 14th), and if you’re interested in the phenomenal Legendary Edition, we recommend you bag it quickly. The RRP appears to be R1300.

I see Kalahari still have a few legendaries available.

Not sure how long it will last.
