Anyone who has played Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 is well aware that it’s as far away from being exploit free as possible so it’s no surprise that gamers are worried that the new Call of Duty Elite will simply be hacked and rendered useless within weeks of it’s release.
However the team who have been assigned the responsibility of creating Call of Duty Elite, Beachhead Software, have assured us that they have made security and integrity of the service absolutely essential.
They have also realised that no matter how secure they make their systems there is no way to guarantee that exploits won’t be found and that the best defence money can buy is a dedicated human security team.
They will have a team of people watching the statistics and matches and ensuring that any exploits are found, resolved and patched as soon as humanly possible.
As Activision are planning on running competitions and tournaments through this system this security is going to be vital and any unhandled exploits will bring the entire system crashing down around them.
