Behemoth have updated us via their official blog on the status of Castle Crashers for the Playstation 3.

It’s been a fairly long while since Castle Crashers hit the scene on Xbox 360 but don’t let that deter you if you have a PS3, because it’s all sorts of awesome. Timing however maybe isn’t so great as the also fantastic Scott Pilgrim vs The World game sits in the same genre and is also available on PSN now.

Get the details after the jump.

Okey dokey, Behemoth had a few things to say, the first being that your PS3 is a village. What? A village? Well, this might explain it better:

“The long and the short of it- Castle Crashers is coming to planet earth like a speeding train ready to fly off the tracks and crash into a village. That village is your PS3.”

The game’s release date has not been given, but you can be sure that it will be very soon as Behemoth say that they are “right in the thick of the submission process“. As far as price is concerned, they have said that they are doing all in their power to basically get the game’s price as close as possble to US $15.00, which means that SA gamers will probably be looking at around R120.00.

The Xbox 360 version was plagued with multiple online issues when it launched but was eventually patched and sorted. Let’s hope that the PSN version is good to go from the beginning, as it was nothing short of a real bummer to have our multiplayer plans shot down because of issues.
