Box art

If a game gets box art, it means it’s almost ready to release… right? We have been getting the odd screenshot for Dragon Age Inquisition, but now it’s time for box art. Let’s hope the next bit of news about the game out of Bioware is a release date.

Over on twitter, which seems to be Dragon Age’s official announcement platform, it was revealed:

Well, it’s certainly rather cool. I like the city imagery in the backgrounds, and did you notice the signature dragon in the negative space? Here, look at the (awful by comparison) box art from Dragon Age II to remind you:

They certainly like using the negative space in these things, but I think the art is vastly superior for the latest Dragon Age. Let’s just hope that the rest of the game is much improved and superior compared to Dragon Age II. Bioware has finished off the (first) Mass Effect trilogy now, there shouldn’t be anything distracting them during this Dragon Age. Show us all the wonderful characters, environments and stories – you can do it Bioware.

I think this is the WRPG I’m most looking forward to this year, especially now that The Witcher 3 has been pushed back until next year. I really like what I’ve heard about Dragon Age Inquisition – it will have full character choices, plenty of varied environments and multiple endings. Sounds like they’re doing it right this time.
