EA claims Battlefield multiplayer is in a class of it’s own

Battlefield Bad Company 2

MW2 is still reeling from those Medal of Honor screenshots that we posted earlier and now it’s about to take a second body blow from EA.

According to the EA product manager, Will Graham, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is at the forefront of online multiplayer and Modern Warfare 2 isn’t going to be able to touch them once it’s released.

In his own words

“DICE is at the forefront of defining the multiplayer and online vehicle warfare space and has substantial pedigree in this area following many years of success. We genuinely believe there isn’t a developer out there that competes with DICE in this space, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is going cement that ~

The use of vehicles in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sets it apart from the competition and no one else in the industry does this better.

This is also something the core are very excited about: DICE’s history of delivering a multiplayer experience utilising vehicles is something that sets it apart from anything else in the market. It’s also an element that fits with the increasing emphasis on multiplayer for gamers in general.”

Now granted using vehicles does change the experience but whether it puts them into an entirely different class is still to be seen.

The demo has been good but the lag is pretty horrendous at times and once or twice I have struggled to find a game, but then again it’s a demo and we can’t judge it to harshly just yet.

This will destory MW2 on PC. On console it will probably be an even battle.

PS3 Demo = no lag, games are instantly found.

Maxed all my demo classes out in one run and KD is 2.7. I love this game!

I had some lag at times on the PC version, but then again I only have a 512 line. Game also needs a quad processor. After playing the beta extensively I found going back to MW2 moeilik, as in MW2 has no depth, too easy or “arcady” with no bullet trajectories, limited co-op play as everybody just moers into elke rigting making games modes other than team death match irrelevant etc.
