So you own all the Halo games. You’re a king when it comes to online action. Your tea-bagging skills are the stuff of legend. But do you live your Master Chief life outside of your console? Are you stylin’ and profilin’ enough to jump on a motorcycle, pretend it’s a Banshee and take a spin while wearing the iconic green and gold of your hero?
If you shouted YES! YES! YES! to each question as if you were watching WWE performer Daniel Bryan cut a promo, then I have some good news for you. NECA has some plans for Halo, and they include releasing a motorcycle version of Mjolnir Mark-VI helmet.
It’s currently only in the modelling stages however, but the results do look promising.
Scheduled for a 2015 release, the final product will retain the classic paint scheme, as well as a fully operational visor so that it can pass several safety inspections in case some moron behind you goes into go-faster heat just because you happened to overtake him on your bike and now he has something to prove for no apparent reason and yes this has happened to me before and a helmet saved my life and hoo boy this sentence has gone on for way too long.
Still, if you can’t wait to get your hands on this helmet, the cosplay community around the world has plenty of fibreglass variants floating around. They won’t be anywhere near as safe as this one will be however, and I’d wager that the final NECA product is quite a bit more comfy at the end of the day.
That, and I reckon I’d look totally bitchin’ wearing this while cruising down the highway on my salmon Honda 50cc.
