So the Icebucket challenge has exploded in America with every two-bit celebrity throwing a bucket of ice water over their heads in the name of fun and raising money for ALS. ALS locally is more commonly known as Motor Neuron Disease and our most famous sufferer is Joost van der Westhuizen.
But now the weird and painful experience has migrated into the gaming space thanks to Minecraft’s creator, Notch, creating this odd video after being nominated by Elon Musk and then subsequently challenging Cliffy B, Bobby Kotick and Phil Spencer.
So far only Phil Spencer has responded with his epic video, and he’s gone and challenged Valve’s Gabe Newell, Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime and Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida.
Cliff has accepted the challenge but we wait to see him get all wet.

So far the ridiculous fad has raised $15 million for the ALS foundation in America and in the spirit of being a complete moron and also for the fun of it I’m going to join in… take a look.
I have also donated to our local Motor Neuron charity, MNDA, and now nominate Devon Stanton from Megarom, Graeme Selvan from Microsoft and Colin Webster from the MSSA to not only also do the challenge but more importantly to donate to the MNDA as well.
