Gears of War 2 to have bots in it…

47 second read

Wow how did I miss this earlier?

I was just going through some of the older stories on the main gaming websites and I see that it was announced that Gears 2 is going to have bots in it… Much like the ones that have become a staple of Unreal Tournament over the years.

I have to say that I think this is a great inclusion as I know quite a few people online who really should rather be playing against computerised opponents who don’t mind being called gay every 2 seconds…

The next time I have one of those wonderful gents join my match I think we’ll slowly start dropping out and replacing ourselves with bots until we are all free and he can go on playing all night happily…

See everyone’s a winner.

I don’t know how you missed this but I was very pleased to see this feature when it was announced. Now you won’t have a problem to get a full lobby to just start the game and the other guys can join later. You can also practice against the bots before getting your arse kicked by live players.

Hope they do it well. The bots in UT3 are excellent, most of the time you can’t tell who is human and who is a bot. Makes a big difference to the game.

You get to RIDE the Brumack!!! :faints:

Hmm, the 5 player co-op is more of a Multiplayer mode, so I’ll hold off on declaring “5 player co-op” outright.

Anyone catch the new “weapon class” reveal in the gamerscoreblog video  Basically “BFG” class fixed/mobile weapons, looks almost exactly like Halo 3 “big guns” like rocket pod and flamer.

youll probably find they ran into the same problems in some parts that too human did, in that they were unable to create and keep tense intimate moments with 2 player characters.
