Oh Dear. There are rumblings in the large, cog-powered internet machine that the Pc version of arguably the biggest game of the year has been delayed. According to Electronic Theatre who cite unnamed ninja sources, The PC version will see a 2 week delay – seeing its release slip from November 10 to November 24.
The reasons for the apparent delay aren’t given, but speculation points to “manufacturing constraints†or to “counteract piracy issues.†Seems counterintuitive, really – normally PC game delays lead to increased piracy. A quick scan of local retailers still shows a timeous release on the 10th. We’ve asked the local distributors if they’ve received any word of a delay – and they’re waiting for official confirmation themselves. Needless to say, they’re working hard to ensure PC gamers will be fighting the good fight alongside their console-playing brethren on the same day.

The way i think is that some people really can’t wait for the game so they will instead be getting the console version of the game (which is usually double that of the pc version). Loads of people would rather get the pc version (be it at the shops or on the net) so now those people would get the console version. Thus slightly decreasing the online downloads.
A great money making move i think.
