This is honestly getting a little ridiculous now.
Haze the futurists first person shooter has been delayed again. This game was originally meant to arrive last year on all three platforms (PS3, 360, PC) and then the developers decided that it would arrive on the PS3 first with the other versions arriving at a later date.
It was then delayed until January 2008, then to May 2008 and now it is delayed until some time in the 2008 fiscal year. Which runs until 31 March 2009.
So is this title going to blow us away when it finally arrives? It’s getting to the point where no one will care really…

Bet you they wished that they stuck to PC and 360 also.
At least they would have had a game on the market by now.
The more I learn of Haze, the less I care.

I suspect they don’t want to have two competing products (R6 and Haze) on the market at the same time, since it seems the PS3 can only sustain one big FPS in a month.
Still, what short memories we all have. Splinter Cell Conviction was also given one hell of a delay and there’s no official launch date yet. But of course, Xbox 360 delays are never a big deal, are they?.
Perhaps Ubi should also have given Haze a vague release date and spared themselves some embarrasment.

@JimBob, YOu raise a valid point with Splinter Cell however the difference being that they (AFAIK) didn’t keep on moving the release date…
Like you said Ubisoft could have saved face by just not handing out release dates like candy 😛

Agreed. The difference is that the SC:C delay was given well in advance and we still don’t expect it till mid year. Haze has been pushed back countless times at the eleventh hour.
We should call it “lost is a Haze” 😉
I blame the CoD4 affect. Everyone was banking on Halo being the shooter to beat but Infinity Ward reset the benchmark at the last minute, now everyone has to go back and have a rethink.

previews looked amazing but these delays are insane. not much we can do about it but I agree they should’nt be making so many promises… no one gets pissed off at Blizzard for taking ages to develop their games because they’re up front about it.
