He thinks, She thinks. Enough Already!

1 min read

You may or may not remember that I posted an article yesterday about Hideo Kojima saying that the PS3 is a monster machine, unless of course you are one of the people who ignore any of my positive PS3 articles so that you can call me a fanboy later.

Anyway, today an article popped up on N4G that that tells the tale of how Dennis Dyack, creator of the Too Human exclusive for Xbox 360, says that the 360 is very powerful.

When did we start playing this ridiculous game of testimonial tennis? What? A PS3 developer thinks the PS3 is a monster? An Xbox 360 developer thinks the 360 is very powerful? Really? No! If I was still developing for the SEGA Megadrive I would be telling you how amazingly powerful it still is. It’s all really thick in my opinion.

This also reminds me once again of the piece they had in the Sony E3 Press Conference where they had developers all talking about how great the PS3 is. That’s like asking someone to mark their own exam papers.

Can we please cut the crap and get on with it. If you want to make a statement about the consoles abilities, do it with your games, not your mouths. Dyack my friend… Kojima has made his statement with MGS4, let’s see what you have to say.

Source: My own brain that doesn’t need other peoples opinions of their own damn products forced into my head, thanks.

I don’t see the big deal, MS and SONY need public support from the game developers. Imagine only Sony was getting feedback like this from devs, it would make the XboX look bad (and visa versa). So they both do it and at least neither of them are lying.

The PS3 is a monster and the 360 is very powerful.

I don’t know… I don’t like this trend of testimonials. I reminds me of infomercials where everybody says “I lots 10 kg’s in 2 weeks… this product is amazing” or “I put the CD in and I immediately noticed the effect, I was actually concentrating”.

Just like those infomercials these new testimonials are a load of bull.

Werner’s last blog post..He thinks, She thinks. Enough Already!

WTF is Dyack talkin about? Too Human looks pretty average, this is including animations and the AI is bad. How can anyone take this man seriously? No doubt the Xbox 360 is powerful but Too Human definately does not show it.

“unless of course you are one of the people who ignore any of my positive PS3 articles so that you can call me a fanboy later.”

Let me put some life into this thread and why I call you a 360 fanboy (note this is all tong in cheek):

Post a positive PS3 article/news to keep them PS3 fanboys in cheque, your overall conclusion is “Wow sounds cool; although I not convinced it will work. We’ll have to wait at see, but hey looks ok and sounds prominsing-ish…”

Post a positive 360 article/news to keep them 360 fanboys in cheque, you overall conculsion is “Wow omg *goes in fanboy mode* this totally rocks, this is teh best thing eva!!! I go to MS church on sundays!”

Now again remember, just some tong in cheek 🙂

You are like one of those people who think that racism only goes one way. Except that you are a fanboy, this much does not need to be proven any further. I on the other hand am not. But because you, a PS3 fanboy labels me as a 360 fanboy, I must just sit back and enjoy my new title, because it makes no difference anyway. I think your labeling of me and the site is childish and annoying.

but hey… just a little tongue in cheek remember.

I don’t know Kabraal. I know thats a tong in cheek comment but this is getting a bit out of hand.

What about the story yesterday about a web browser for the Xbox360 thats a bad idea according to this site?
What about the concernes voiced about the new Xbox360 dashboard?

    You don’t see us complaining.

Wow, are there concerns for the browser? Serious shit hey? Anyway, I’ve always liked you. Next time when a blogger blogs as “BD crash and burn” article building a ridiculous argument around January sales numbers or when I’m met with “I’m not going to read you counter argument because you’re a fanboy” reply in a blog which claims a the 360 farts 3000 time more teh pixelkies than a PS3 (yet at the end of this OP we are urged to stop with this BS and “get on with it” but the same old same old articles surfaces everyday), I expect you to back me up…

Meh, if I can’t poke a little fun at you I don’t know. Why so serious? *Shugs* I suppose you can call be a fanboy. I don’t mind.

“but hey… just a little tongue in cheek remember.”

Come now Nicky, I refer you to here,

Now I was gang banged by yourself and some illiterate fool for voicing my own humble opinion and subsequently I was labelled an idiot for god knows why. Luckily, I’m mature enough to realize your comment was probably some tong in cheek. No hard feelings. Now if you can’t take the compliment in return for a issue which I_know_you’re_having_difficulties_to_deal_with over the last couple of months, then I truly find your sincere approach as being the god send anti-fanboy hard to stomach.

Haha, seriously? I “Nicky” pointed out a funny way to misread your reply and you call it a gang bang. I had nothing to do with your debate and I didn’t even write another comment after that. So I’m not entirely sure where this gang bang took place.

Heh, yeah I know. Poking fun, like I said and like I know, no harm done nothing really meant by it… pretty much the same way as I poked you here on a issue I KNOW bothers you. And by the looks of it, I got the reaction. Bah, I’ve explained it in my first post, “tong in cheek” then in the second post again. I’m done trying, it’s really a trivial concept to understand but ah well, cya…
