Here’s all the cool stuff coming to Game Pass on console and PC this December

I will never shut up about how good a value proposition Game Pass is. On both Xbox One and PC, a Game Pass subscription offers up a veritable smorgasbord of videogames. It’s filled with big blockbuster games you’d happily pay full price for, and hidden gems you’d otherwise miss because they’re not on your radar. Yes, there’s a bit of absolute guff in there too.

Still, for the price of one full-priced retail game, you can get a year’s subscription to the service – and it’s unbeatable value, especially if you baulk at the cost of games these days. While games are on a rotation, there’s more than enough time to play through them before they get cycled out. On that note, here’s a look at what’s coming into Game Pass this month. This week’s already seen Halo Reach (as part of the Master Chief Collection) added to both console and PC, but there’s a lot more coming this December.

My Friend Pedro (ID@Xbox)

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker

The Naruto franchise is back with a brand-new experience in Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker! This new game lets gamers battle as a team of four to compete against other teams online! Shinobi Striker is built from the ground up in a completely new graphic style. Lead your team and fight online to see who the best ninjas are!

Pathologic 2 (ID@Xbox Day One Launch)

A narrative-driven dramatic thriller about fighting a deadly outbreak in a secluded rural town. Face the realities of a collapsing society as you make difficult choices in seemingly lose-lose situations in this groundbreaking open-world horror RPG.

Tom Clancy’s The Division

A revolutionary next-gen experience that brings the RPG into a modern military setting for the first time. In the wake of a devastating pandemic that sweeps through New York City, basic services fail one by one, and without access to food or water the city descends into chaos. As an agent of The Division, you’ll specialize, modify, and level up your gear, weapons, and skills to take back New York.

GP12

As for PC? Well, the list is a little different, and Microsoft hasn’t given out the dates of when they’ll be available, just listing the inclusion as “soon,” though we know the launch days for Demon’s Tilt and Pathologic 2.

  • Age of Wonders: Planetfall (ID@Xbox)
  • Demon’s Tilt (ID@Xbox Day One Launch)
  • Europa Universalis IV (ID@Xbox)
  • Faeria (ID@Xbox)
  • Farming Simulator 17
  • Human: Fall Flat (ID@Xbox)
  • Metro: Last Light Redux
  • My Friend Pedro (ID@Xbox)
  • Pathologic 2 (ID@Xbox Day One Launch)

I’m just really keen to give My friend Pedro a go, because Darryn won’t keep quiet about how good it is.

After watching Hbomberguy’s 2 hour analysis of the original Pathologic, I’m kinda jealous Xbox is getting 2 whereas PS4 doesn’t even have a solid release date yet.

Likewise, as a PC gamer, that is the only game that has any interest for me!
