Back in the day, when you had cavalry riding across a field, your nation’s flag would be at the head. That’s why flags on military uniforms are inverted, so that it looks like it’s flapping in the wind (majestically).

Nope (as I explained above), most armies do that, the flag is inverted so that it looks like it’s flapping in the wind (i.e. carried by cavalry). It’s an old military tradition. Some nations don’t do it any more though…
