House of the Dead : OverKill Getting a Sequel?

1 min read

Please please please please please be true! A new rumour casually strolling through the internet hints at the possibility of a sequel to SEGA’S delicious House of the Dead : Overkill – even though the original didn’t fare all too well at retail.

Like all games in the House of the Dead franchise, it’s an arcade-style rail shooter – but Overkill oozes Grindhouse style, personality, and 4 letter-cuss words.

The original, a Wii exclusive was raucous, crude, dumb terribly offensive and insanely fun. I’ll admit that even I, hater of stupid plastic peripherals, bought light-gun attachments for my Wiimotes…just for this game.

Hopefully with the recent release of Playstation Move, the game will be available for the PS3 as well – and I’ll be able to dismember zombie clowns in high definition.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
