Bit Daddy

You kids today. With your regenerating health bars and omens of death. Back in my day, we had limited life bars and only so much turkey to eat to replenish them back in the good ol’ video game days! Rabble rabble rabble! Fortunately, if you’re feeling as old as I am right now, Bioshock Infinite happens to have a more “classic” difficulty mode hidden inside it. Here’s how to unlock it.

Most times, super-ultra f$%k your face difficulty modes require you to beat the game on the supplied challenge settings on offer. Not so with Bioshock Infinite, because all you need to do is to enter a code that should be second nature by now.

I’m talking about the Konami code, the skeleton key of gaming. Just go straight to the main menu, and enter the code. What, you don’t know the code? AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A GAMER? FINE!

PC and Xbox 360:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A

Playstation 3:

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle, X

One notification later, and you’ll be having your gentlemanly buttocks kicked all over Columbia by dandy robots. Old School yo!

I think more games should have the hardest difficulty available from the start, or they can do what DMC 3 did and have the Japanese Hard be the American Normal mode, trololol

      Yup, sorry to hear that.

She seemed like a nice girl the way she would let you play games with us every Saturday…although that might have been part of the problem.

      Anyway, sorry to hear.

Nah, she just lives too far away now, had to move as she was too distracted to do her PhD, and long distance relationships put undue stress on anyone. Still mates though 🙂

Nice that it ended amicably. I did long distance for two years and its the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

Nice! If you look at Ken Levine’s Q&A on Twitter, he’s a really down to earth, funny guy, the way I wish all game developers were. Obviously that comes through in the game. Konami code FTW!
