For Throwback Thursday, I thought I’d revisit one of my all time favourites: Yie Ar Kung Fu. Pretty much one of the earliest fighting games ever made, the premise was simple: Kick some ass.
To do so, you’d need to rely on ultra Kung-Fu moves such as punching really hard, kicking even harder and jumping around the screen like a flea on steroids. And hot damn, the game was some great fun.
Thanks of course, to a rogues gallery who you had to clobber along the way, like Iron Chain dude and that bugger who kept spitting fireballs at you while dancing a fandango around the screen.
The best thing about Yie Ar Kung Fu though? That foot-tapping good soundtrack. Here’s an online link to experience some joy with.
