Here’s a fun fact: If I didn’t put my flamesuit on this morning, I wouldn’t be alive to write this post because a lot of people wanted to murderlize me for my post on GT5’s standard cars. The proof is in the pics, the premium cars look sexy as hell, the standard ones don’t, don’t know what more to say than that really.
So how’s it going with Gran Turismo 5 though folks? I finally got my copy after work yesterday and spent the whole night playing it. What’s everyones opinion on the game so far? I’m also interested to know what direction everyone went at first. Are you all doing your licenses first or did some of you jump straight into the arcade mode to burn some rubber?
I must say though, that as a petrol-head, this has possibly been my favorite gaming year yet. Not only did I already have Forza 3 to play from the end of last year, but this year also pumped out Blur, Split/Second, F1 2010, Gran Turismo 5 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. For someone like me, it just doesn’t get any better than this.
Here’s the news we didn’t post because we were keeping our turbo spooled up by double de-clutching using heel-toe right before powering over to clip a late apex through Parabolica as we feathered the throttle to maintain weight balance into the straight.

I’m doing the licenses first; I’m just worried about the Super License though.
I had a hard time finishing the Côte d’Azur track with the Toyota GT-ONE on GT3.

I use to make fun of GT5 because it got under the skin of PS3 fan boys and I (probably most others) just assumed it would get 10/10 and be a best racing sim ever … but now it’s just like tea bagging them.
