Is Soul Reaver rising from the grave?

Raziel

The thinnest, most intangible of rumours suggest that Crystal dynamics is set to revive everybody’s favourite Wraith, Raziel in a new Soul Reaver reboot.

Pleaeeeeeease be real!

VG247 says that, according to their sources, the reboot will  be a "full reworking of the vampire action classic" and will have "a new art direction".

Crystal Dynamics is busy with a reboot of another classic in the form of Tomb Raider, an origin story that’ll tell us how Lara Croft became the badass she is. It looks pretty damned amazing.

For those of you unaware, Soul Reaver was the sequel to Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, the story of a murdered noble tracking down his killers using his sexy new vampire powers. Soul Reaver, instead, followed the tribulations of a plane-shifting vampire turned Wraith on his own revenge-driven path.

the last game in the series, Legacy of Kain: Defiance had you playing as both characters. It’s been nearly 10 years since that game – and I’d be happy to play as Raziel once more.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
