Famitsu have uploaded four Dark Souls 2 (more like “I’ve taken your soul 2”) gameplay videos to Youtube, each of which showcases a class in the upcoming sequel.

The Warrior, Sorcerer, TempleKnight and Dual Swordsman are each shown in a short burst of combat gameplay. While the Warrior wields a large shield and sword, with slower combat, the Dual Swordsman is a much faster, agile, dual wielding class. The TempleKnight shows off his ability to carry two different weapons and swap out between them during combat as well as a cleaving ability. The Sorcerer faces his opponents with the classic staff and some fire magic.

Lazygamer had a hands-on with the game at E3, you can read about the punishing experience that broke Darryn here.

Reminds me of rogue-like gameplay seen in MMOs actually, the Dual Swordsmen is my favourite so far 😀

My only worry with him is he’s probably one boss hit away from death. Give me a nice tower shield to hide behind any day.

Lol! was thinking the same thing, but all the more realistic and adds to the immersion, rogues don’t need no shield

I’m a bit put out by the skating strafing. The characters look weightless. I like the dual-wielding, looking forward to trying it out a bit. Also, is it true that backstabs are no longer animation-locked?

I am looking forward to this release more than any other. Loved the heck out of Dark Souls and just busy working my way slowly through Demon’s Souls at the moment until DS II arrives in March 2014.
