L.A. Noire, the upcoming detective title from Rockstar Games has already wowed us with its incredibly new facial-animation technology and we hope that the gameplay and story are going to impress us just as much.

The official box art for the game has just been revealed and it looks pretty awesome, although it seems that the designers have decided to jump onboard a trend that Hollywood is beating to death with a digital stick.

Want to know what I mean? Full images and more after the jump.

First things first, here’s the box art for the xbox 360 and PS3. You can click on them to see them nice and massive.

If you’re wondering which Hollywood trend I am talking about, it’s the character-with-a-blue-and-orange-contrast trend. Which one? This one:

You can head over to SlashFilm and see exactly what I mean as they have an entire article dedicated to it and it’s actually getting pretty ridiculous.

Either way, I’m still way pumped for this game. Check out the trailer that was released recently if you haven’t already and if you have, watch it again just for those damn good facial expressions.
