Looks like Square Enix is teasing Hitman

Square Enix is aiming to have a large presence at E3 this year. Not only do they have their own conference, they have games like Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Final Fantasy to show. The one game they haven’t really spoken about is the known in-development Hitman – which IO Interactive confirmed a few months back. Could it be their secret ace in the sleeve?

A decrypted secret invitation suggests so. Yesterday IGN received an invitation for a secret Square Enix party that they’re co-hosting (right now, I’m as confused as you honestly), which was set against a background of the Atlantic Ocean and a few continents. That was that apparently, until someone took the image and compared it to another piece of media on the Hitman website.

Another image taken from the Hitman website bears a striking resemblance to the one on the invitation – primarily on where the focus is on the world map. It could be a coincidence, but we all know that it rarely happens to be one in this industry. IO Interactive have been working on their new Hitman for a while, so Square Enix might feel that it’s time to show the world what Agent 47 has been getting up to.

We’ll only know for sure at the show though, which kicks off two weeks from today. Personally, I’m really hoping for a proper look at the next-generation of Hitman – even if it’s just to see Agent 47’s bald, tattooed, dildo-selling head again.

  1. Why would they tease Hitman? Going bald is nothing to joke about.

Because secretly they are filming a new season of Liberty City Survivor, with Agent 47 as the star .

I enjoyed the last Hitman. The mission challenges were fun to complete. Normally I couldn’t be arsed to replay a mission differently, but I replayed almost all of them to get the various kills.

One does not simply play Ablution… One must feel the urge… Dare I say, the need, to do so. 😉

I really liked it too – apart from that god awful disguise system :/

Blood Money is still the best I think 🙂

Can we all agree that we hope there will be zero women in this game… only because putting any in would oppress them… or something.

fool me once, shame on you.
fool me twice, shame on me.
fool me three times, four times, five times, six times, agent 47 must be brain dead.

Yeah, for a known assassin, he’s pretty trusting of those around him (“I shall trust them till they make be do otherwise… Oh damn, they betrayed me! Well, I guess another one bites the dust.”).

Maybe Agent47 has developmental problems? In other words, in the body of the world’s greatest assassin lives the mind of a child…. It would explain the series so far, and why he’s so incredibly naive.

I really hope it’s a 47 reveal…Please make it so… I played the sweet blueberry jam out of Absolution and then some… The story was about as good as a top scoring budget movie, but the assassinations were brilliant!
