Lost Planet: PS3 vs Xbox 360

40 second read

PSU.com has put together some comparison screen shots for the recently announced Lost Planet for the PS3.

Unfortunately none of the screen shots are from the exact same moment but at least you can see something.

The first 3 comments on that site go something like this.

1. They are the same
2. PS3 version is better
3. Xbox 360 version is better

I stopped reading then because I think that pretty much sums it up, we cannot really compare anything from marketing screen shots now can we.

Um, Well… It seems as though you can see the strengths and weaknesses from both systems here…

The Ps3’s lighting is amazing, and the actual graphics are better. you see more details, i can only assume that the ps3 has better physics and more niceties…

The xbox’s AA is superior, and it’s alpha’s are better(only a bit, but it’s noticeable) I’m assuming the ai is better to…

if, we got sceenies at the exact same moment, we would see that both versions are weighted equally

Firstly, those are marketing shots which mean almost nothing, and secondly, all I would say is “It’s fantastic what you can do with an extra years worth of development”

Comparing the two isn’t even remotely fair. It’s like comparing apple and apple pie.

Having said that, I’ keen to see what the final comparison will look like.
