Man Threatens to Kill Bomberman Creators…With a Bomb.

Your games suck...and for that, you shall DIE! A 29-year-old Japanese man has been arrested for threatening to blow up Hudson Soft, creators of the Bomberman franchise.

The malcontent Takao Ike sent 11 emails to the company over the past few months stating his explosive intent – he wished to send a bomb to the company, killing everyone. He also demanded a ransom of 80 trillion Yen be brought to JR Takamatsu Station, where he worked as a courier.

What could drive a man to despise a company so much he was willing to contemplate homicide bombicide?

“I did it because I posted my demands concerning the games, but the games didn’t improve,” Ike said in a signed affidavit.

Seems a perfectly good reason to me. Now…Anyone have any dynamite? I really haven’t been enjoying those milkshakes from KFC lately…

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
