If you’ve played any sort of competitive game online, then you’ve been subject to – or even guilty yourself of – Ragequits. Some people just don’t take well to losing, and will quit a game if they happen to be getting the pointy end of the winner’s stick.
I have tons of pent-up vitriol for ragequitting arseholes, but I’ll save that for another day. Capcom’s upcoming crossover fighter has a pretty novel way of dealing with bad losers.
The game will track instances of rage-quitting – when a selfish, stupid, far-too-proud player quits games prior to their outcomes - and will remember them.
If you pull the plug on your losses too often, the game will then pit you only against other people who do the same; pretty much creating two online communities for the game. Those trolling, rage-quitting jerk-wads and people who can play nice with each other. It’s an interesting, novel solution to a pretty big problem in online gaming – and it’s one I really hope catches on.
Now if only they could do something to isolate the pre-pubescent racist homophobes and playing online might be fun again!

This might not be ideal with our generally crappy internets.
