Okay so it is early days still but NCSoft, the guys who only really make massively multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPG), has announced that they are developing a new game for the PS3 that will be demonstrated later this year.
When they were asked if they where just going to port one of their current titles they answered
that’s the wrong way to do it.
Chris Chung goes on to say
You have to create a gameplay that’s really suitable for the console space, the console experience. I mean, it’s very different from PC. I think the key is whether the development team really buys into the console. I think we have a couple of development teams that the title that they’re making could be a hit in the console space as well as the PC.
Now I have never gotten into the MMORPG genre but if it lands on a console where I can sit on my couch and go on missions across the world, I could see more of an appeal to it. I could actually see the wife being totally addicted so maybe it’s not the best idea after all.
