It’s no secret that I happen to be composed of pure anti-Neux, a substance resulting from my recent rants about game developer Peter Molyneux and his recent slate of over-hyped/promised games. On the other hand, I absolutely adore Peter Molydeux, for poking the right kind of fun at the once decent game creator. And when the two combine, I’m more conflicted than a gentlemen bull in a china shop.

Back in 2012, Molyjam hit the scene for a game jam that threw developers from all walks of life together in an effort to create based on the satirical tweets of Peter Molydeux. That event was a hilarious success, prompting a second one to be organised.

And this time, the real Peter Molyneux will be there to ask developers to create games based on his own tweets in an event based on a parody account of him that makes fun of his ideas. Game industry, you just got inceptionised.

According to Molyjam organiser Brandon Sheffield via VG247 on the official website, it gets even weirder from here:

It’s time for a change. Yes, we could have done a second Molyjam using the exact same themes and format, but wouldn’t that be against what this whole movement is about? And isn’t Molyjam all about defying conventions, and getting at the True Heart of the Lion Himself?

Yes! It would, and it is. And so! We have decided on this year’s theme – actual, out-of-context quotes from the real Peter Molyneux. Molyneux is a man who needs no assistance when it comes to parody. His own words are strong enough. Who but Molyneux has the strength to say things like, “Pull the right trigger to see The Most Interesting Thing In The World.” Or, “It’s you Americans. There’s something about nipples you hate.”

We’ve provided you with a list of over 60 quotes, with 22 specially-highlighted picks from the organizers. One for each of Molyneux’ cans. And if you’re an enterprising sort, you’re welcome to find your own Molyneux quotes, so long as you can find a source for them.

Molyjam isn’t about sequels. Molyjam is about changing everything. Change is good – without change we die, alone in the pits of despair. Changing everything is about making videos of tiny men the punchline to a Curious year-long joke. So let’s change the world, together.

Molyjam hits the streets from July 5 to 7 this year. Also, my brain hurts.

“The touch, the grab, the stroke, all of those things were going to be obsessed about.”
“When you’re doing it in multiplayer, it feels incredible. I love that”
“You sneak that little thing in there at the end.”

Did they have to put those 3 quotes there in that specific order?
