Blu-Ray

Netflix has been in the news recently thanks to that very public tie in with the Xbox 360.

Well now they are back in the news for something less exciting. Last Friday they announced that they are going to start testing a price increase for it’s Blu-Ray rentals and mentioned nothing about an increase for DVD rentals or digitally distributed content.

This has to come as a blow to Blu-Ray fans in the States and will logically push more people towards digital distribution and in turn the Xbox 360.

It makes you wonder if this is part of the new deal with Microsoft a they have always touted digital distribution as the way of the future and with it being simpler and cheaper they may actually have a point?
