Nintendo reveals a ton of new games

Maybe Nintendo hasn’t forgotten its hardcore fans after all. With a new Punch-Out!! title and Sin and Punishment 2, they could well be back on the right track.

Watch the video above to get a look at the plethora of new Wii and Nintendo DS games that were announced at the Nintendo’s Tokyo Press Event, including Endless Ocean 2, another Wii Tales title, Samurai Warriors, a new Trace Memory game entitled “Another Code” and what appears to be a remake of Klonoa-door to phantomile which is one of my favourite games of all time.

There’s some Nintendo DS goodness in there too, with Mario and Luigi 3 joining the newly announced Nintendo Wii/DS connectivity title Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.

Nintendo also took the time to show off previously announced titles such as the newly revealed Wii Sports Resort, Wii Music, and Animal Crossing: City Folk. Still no Pikmin 3 though, which you will remember Miyamoto did confess to working on at E3. Instead it seems that they will be re-releasing Gamecube games for the Wii, which is rather interesting considering they work on the console anyway, no solid details are available yet as to whether Nintendo plan to “enhance” these titles with motion support and such. The first game on the “Wii de Asobu Selection”, which translates to “Play on Wii Selection” will be Pikmin 1.

Is Punch-Out and Sin and Punishment enough to keep the hardcore fans happy? I’m not so sure it is.
