PAX '08 Gears 2 Multiplayer Footage

Some lucky S-O-B’s got a chance at PAX ’08 to get some hands on time with Gears of War 2’s multiplayer and it looks like a ton of fun. This video shows us a little more Gears 2 multiplayer gameplay from the same level that we have seen shown off before.

It was great to see that the guy playing actually knew how to play Gears properly and wasn’t just flailing around, although he did when someone started cutting him in half with a chainsaw. The multiplayer is looking fantastic, it seems to be everything we loved about Gears of War 1’s multiplayer and more.

Hmmm… I wasn’t overly impressed with that.. there seemed to be some bad clipping and very little change from the last one.. which may not be a bad thing

This is the only game that I have pre-ordered for the upcoming months. I have been playing the first one on insane now and if the new one delivers the same style of gameplay and action I will be happy.

if the gameplay is the same as gears 1 with a few tweaks and more maps. It will provide another 2 years of mp fun.

Eeeezzzy son. heh, code should be complete by now and it’s just bug testing and fixing – sure it’ll be kick-ass regardless.
