PlayStation Move Starter Pack Packaging

I haven’t seen this packaging on the show floor yet but Gamerzines has a picture up of it and it does look completely official.

It also shows us that the starter pack ($99) option that is going to be released only contains 1 PlayStation Move and the Eyetoy, no subcontroller in site which is a bit of a surprise.

I’m still not a fan of the whole camera-gaming fad. I’ll have to first see the game, demo them in front of giggling shop attendants at either Musica or look and listen, before they get a thumbs up from ol’Bobby K.

I think im going to get the move instead of Kinect. I just read on IGN that you actually have to stand to play all games and use the UI functionality. Something to do with the camera having problems reading your skeletal structure when sitting sprawled out on the couch.

Its really stupid for Sony not to create a Move and sub controller bundle since most of us already have a PS Eye.

Yeah I’m still wondering what I should do about that. I might try selling the camera now – or i’ll use the one camera as a dedicated webcam for the pc.

They are selling the Move and sub controller on their own for $50 and $30 you know that right? So technically you dont have to purchase the starter pack unless you really really want the discount on Sports heroes. Still though it would have been nicer if they released the controller bundle for a cheaper price point and another with the game included for those who dont want the Eye. Also im not really interested in this option but technically if you dont have the cash then just wait on the sub controller purchase and use the dualshock instead as you sub controller. Ill admit that wouldnt be my first choice but at least the option is there.

Anyways im not interested in Sports champions or any casual Move games. Im more interested in playing Socom 4, Killzone 3, LBP2,Journey, Heroes on the move, Sorcery, Dead Space Extraction HD and replaying both Resi 5 and Heavy rain with improved controller gameplay.

It looks like Move hasnt been priced at all. Retailers are already offering lower than RRP’s for Move. I guess Sony are selling them cheap to retailers and giving them plenty of wiggle room with pricing.
