Southern Cross, OBLITERATE

Nintendo Australia has announced the Pokémon X and Y National Championships for Pokémon X and Y!

There will be regional qualifiers in the major cities across Australia and New Zealand in Auckland, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney. The winners from each city will receive vouchers and will be able to compete in the national championships.

The winner of the national championships will travel to Washington to compete in the Pokémon World Championships to compete alongside the trading card world championship as well. The world champions take place on August 16th and 17th.

So, any of my fellow Australians think they have what it takes? Familiarise yourself with the official rules here and scrub up on your Pokémon X & Y skills! It’s pretty amazing to see how many people gather to play Pokémon on the world stage. Hell, I would if I had any discernable talent or skill. I’ll definitely keep this on my radar if it’s being live streamed.
