Microsoft’s controlerless waggle camera has been in the new quite a bit lately. While we’ve not actually seen much in the way of actual games for the enigmatic combination of cameras, microphone and – apparently – magic*, we do know when it’ll be available.

According to Syed Bilal Tariq, Microsoft’s marketing manager for the Saudi Region, the thing’ll hit retail around October.

*Magic, or as some people believe, bullsh*t.

When asked about the new peripheral will be available in Saudi, he replied that it would launch there at the same time as the rest of the world, following with "is going to be somewhere in October and we will be in a position to confirm the date at E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010".

This is the first mostly concrete details we’ve received about the product’s launch – but there’s still no details on what it’ll be called when it does release. these details, as well as details on some actual games are expected to be revealed at E3, either at their curiously “technology free” pre-e3 natal event or at their conference proper.

In just over a month we’ll finally know if the device is performing up to scratch, or if – as initial reports have suggested – it suffers from terrible latency problems.

I know I was driven made by too many RRODing xboxes but a part of me kind of hopes that Natal is not a complete melon.
