PS3 cleans up in Europe

The sales figures for the last week since the recent PS3 price drop are in and they have been flying off the shelves.

Across the European Continent the PS3 sold 77,827 units which is 2000 more than the Wii managed and way more than the 42,244 units the 360 shipped.

This follows on quite aptly from yesterdays story about the 178% rise in PS3 sales in the UK, I said then it all depends on the actual figures. Well the UK’s figures are in..

Wii – 27,328
PS3 – 18,380
360 – 17,201

Now the important thing to look at is will it keep up this momentum or is this just a sales spike?

    It was bonus time! 🙂

Anyhow, I hope the games start arriving soon as at least Sony could be finally smiling at the bank.

Hehe, you’re a funny guy Ruslan 😀 . Honest, but funny. Oh, this is definitely a spike, but Europe is PS3 country and there is no way the 360 will top the PS3 in Europe in the long run.

Yeah, the PS3 will be on top in the long run but hopefully Sony will learn from its mistakes and not be so arrogant in the future. 🙂

Well… I guess Sony has done some soul searching, and well… they maybe seeing the light at the end of this LONG tunnel.

As I’ve always said, Sony are a serious force to be reckoned with. They’ve played the game long enough to understand every thing… This next gen wars are going to be fun, until one console drops out

They ruled the console game until Nintendo’s Wii rocked their HD socks and MS took a year’s lead with the X360. Now the stakes are higher for the successors of this line of consoles as Sony cannot afford the errors they have made thus far with the PS3 marketing and gaming delays.

Game developers will always make games for a larger audience, just look at Capcom and Square Ennix making trends into the X360 & Wii market of late as well. Its all business.
