PS3 Firmware 1.92 Available Tonight

PS3 1.92 Firmware updateYet another PS3 firmware update.

There are two ways that you can look at this, either Sony is on the ball by constantly adding new features and improving the PS3 on virtually a monthly basis.

Or you need to just take off 100Mb from your available bandwidth for yet another lame PS3 update…

So have they improved the PS3 this time or is just a pile of useless updates?

Well according to the NeoGAF forum very little changed, possible Warhawk issues have been resolved (not sure why that is a firmware issue) and the remotes now seem to power down by themselves…

If anyone knows what it does let me know…

Oh stuff this. Another 100MB for some silly tweaks?

Yip, this is irritating. I’m using a Vodacom HSDPA card so this is actually going to cost me R22. I’m sure this is only a problem for small bandwidth starved countries like South Africa though. This probably isn’t an issue for Americans, (Most)Europeans and Japanese.

Ah, rats! I thought we were due firmware 2.0 next. Hell, I must admit, the controller powering itself down is a big deal to me. You know how many times I’ve had my damn battery go flat 🙂 !

Point # 4 is great! As for point #7, will Soul Calibur 2 work now? 100MB to find out the hard way. 🙁

@Max, can you still play online without updating the firmware?
