Shing! Looks like Strider is returning

You think you tough enough to hang with the Lazygamer Massive, huh? Man, until you can get yourself some fly threads and past the Grandmaster stage in the original 1989 Strider game, you ain’t dope enough to with us! And it looks like you’ll be getting just such a chance soon, as Strider Hiryu might be on the remake rebound.

It seems like Capcom is planning on bringing back the cult favourite ninja for digital platforms, according to new rumours.

That hive of SCUMM and speculation, NeoGAF, has once again uncovered something that was meant to be secret, as they got their hands on some supposed new box art from the Xbox website. Don’t bother looking for it, it’s all gone.

Now whether or not this is an HD update of the original, or an all new game is unclear. Personally, I’m going with the HD update, as look how well that worked out for Double Dragon Neon last year. Plus, it’s cheap and possibly profitable.

What do you think? Are your thumbs still blistered and broken from the various SHING! heavy incarnations of this classic game, or are you ready for a new stab at taking down the Grandmaster? Heck, why not? It’s been 13 years since the last decent game was released.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
