SingStar PS3 Delayed

In what has unfortunately become the norm for Sony it has been announced this morning that SingStar for the PS3 is not going to make its early November release date.

Sony will also not comment on whether or not it will make it before the end of this year. This is a big blow for Sony in its attempt to wrestle some casual gamers back from Nintendo.

SingStar has been a huge hit for the PS2 and was expected to shift quite a few units on the PS3.

One thing for sure is that the beginning of 2008 is shaping up to be a fantastic time to be a PS3 owner.

    why?

With the other games I can kinda understand.

They are trying to push the PS3 to the limit, higher definition content (poly counts and textures)

Plus the fact that UE3, which so many games are reliant on, apparently doesn’t work so well on the PS3.

Perhaps it’s Sony bullshitting, but I can see those excuses as plausible.

    But Singstar???

And another one bites the dust…

Sony’s SDK must blow chunks if even its exclusive games are having issues in being developed. Darn.

It’s licensing and other issues around DLC, as far as I can understand rather than anything to do with the development side.
