Singularity – Never heard of it

1 min read

This is yet another one of those moments when you realise most people know something that you do not.

I received the latest Activision release schedule this morning and the final item on the list is a title without a release date entitled Singularity.

Instantly I got my hopes up for some awesome breaking news about a brand new Activision game, unfortunately it seems this game has been around for quite a while and I have somehow just never seen anything about it.

The story in a nutshell, the WWII Russians found a new element (Element 99) which has unknown powers, while trying to weaponise it they screwed the pooch and contaminated the entire island… the island was then quarantined until 2010 when our world saviours the Americans find it…

They send a stealth bomber to investigate and all hell breaks loose. Apparently it has something to do with time control but from the trailers I have seen it looks more like a typical run and gun monster game that really doesn’t interest me much.

Thankfully my choice in games is generally considered abysmal so don’t let my anti-hype discolour your enthusiasm.

Once you have finished the trailer take a look at the games website which has a bit more information about the backstory and what we can expect from Singularity.

Oh and the game is apparently coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in Spring 2010… just don’t tell Gametrailers who are still expecting it in September 2009

this game is actually quite interesting cuz you can control time with your very own singularity device on your wrist(sweet), nothing like fastforwarding a soldier and watching him slowly turn to dust.
